Path Of Thoughts

Greetings,

Enough with Dhamma songs sounding new-agey or folky, here's extracts from the Dhammapada set to synth-electro mayhem...

Maitri,

Here's a folk song from the sixties on bodhicitta  .....

The video above that one reminding me....

In these dualistic thoughts lie diseases and "obstructive forces"
When illness afflicts one,
the illness lies in the very thought of it:
When harm befalls one,
The harm lies in the very thought of it:
When one dies,
The death lies in the very thought of it:
Pleasure, pain, or others lie in dualistic thoughts,
Neither disease nor harm
From "obstructive forces" will befall one.

And relatedly (to my opinion)in part...

All things that appear are manifestations of mind.
The surrounding environment which appears to be inanimate,
that too is mind.
The sentient life-form which appear as the six classes of living
beings, they too are mind.
The joys of both the gods and humans of the higher existences
which appear, they too are mind.
The sorrows of the three lower existences which appear, they
too are mind.
The five poisions , representing the dissonant mental states of
ignorance, which appear, they too are mind.........

Or exchange of sorts....

"This order considers that progress can be achieved more rapidly during a single month of self-transformation through terrifying conditions in rough terrain and in "the abode of harmful forces" than through meditating for a period of three years in towns and monasteries"....Takpo Tashi Namgyal.
