Very nice photies Huseng :)

Bit poignant that you should have posted those today actualy ....

My brother and his missus just returned from Japan, a holiday to celebrate his hard earned early retirement.

He would have been showing us all his holiday snaps this afternoon when the family gets together. Turns out that his camera memory card was corrupt though and all the piccies he took are lost.

I know he would have been copiously snapping away at owt remotely buddhist he came across to show to me.

It's a tinsie bit of compensation that, 'cos of you, I now have some idea of the kind of things he might have seen.

Pretty pics, Huseng. Have you ever been to Koyasan?

I was also thinking about Japan today. I actually went over to the apartment of the Japanese teacher who teaches at the same school where I teach. She made me a spicy Korean rice dish which was quite good. She's originally from Sendai. Her father practices Shingon and her mother practices Jodo Shinshu.

Unfortunately I've yet to visit Koyasan. I keep wanting to go for the kechi-en empowerment, but haven't made it yet.

Maybe next month or in the fall.
