Rise, Anoushka Shankar sitar lovely

Bird's Lament, Moondog - really close to my favorite of all time, musical genius from out of this world.

Baba, Andy Palacio, & the Garifuna Collective ... also so very close to my favorite... so beyond!

Where I Like to Stand, Vashti Bunyan; faint, soft, beautiful.. melodic.. this was my favorite song for a while; I still love it, anyway, prefer a few others but to come back to it is very nice. The other day I was reading the story of Hamaguchi Gohei, as told by Koizumi Yakumo; it was close to the most beautiful thing i have ever read... i read it very slowly, partially, and then re-read it, also very slowly... such an incredibly transcendental, and beautiful story-teller, full of so much depth and beauty; anyway it reminded me of this song, so i listened again.

Blow Away, George Harrison; one of my favs of his... so very beautiful... the video is awesome, too, (silly and very beautiful) yet i prefer music without vids, mostly...

Magic Fly, Space - the '77 album alluded to previously. Such a wondrous year for music.

Innocent, Mike Oldfield & Anita Hegerland; this one is one of my all-time favs, for certain... i also sang it many times to the forest. Celtic songs are wonderful for that, as well as mantras.

Lady Writer, Dire Straits. . . Simply beyond. . so beautiful. This album filled me with so much love and bliss... definitely wonderful!

Mountain Rain, Archie Fisher... This is one of my favorite songs too.. it took me very many times, before i heard all the words!

Moonshine, Bert Jansch

please pray for peace... i just learned, there was a car crash in my hometown, more than one person. . . a drunk driver plowed through the home-coming parade;

three are dead, over dozens injured... pray for peace - in the way we treat each other;

it all seems so familiar...

in the way we treat each other is how it begins - is how peace begins; let us be peace, with each other.

Flake, Jack Johnson,

from the album Brushfire Fairytales-

I think it is usually a good idea to skip the ads; or at least mute them; what's the reason for them? hehe

also they take up a lot of bandwidth.

Namaste, peace and love!!

Paint it Black, Rolling Stones

'There is no duty we so much underrate as the duty of being happy. By being happy we sow anonymous benefits upon the world.' - Robert Louis Stevenson

'If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work' - Thay

'Each moment is all being, each moment is the entire world. Reflect now whether any being or any world is left out of the present moment.' - Dogen

'Each moment of zazen is equally wholeness of practice, equally wholeness of realization. This is not only practice while sitting, it is like a hammer striking emptiness: before and after, its exquisite peal permeates everywhere. How can it be limited to this moment?' - Dogen

'Only those who have the great capacity of genuine trust can enter this realm [the realm of the buddhas]. Those who have no trust are unable to accept it, however much they hear it.' - Dogen

Sing and be happy, my dear friends. Music is life.

Be kind whenever possible - it is always possible.

The Dalai Lama

Share peace and happiness with the whole world;

Mellow rendition of, Long Time Sun. Apparently the lyrics come from the end of a song called A Very Cellular Song by The Incredible String Band, from an album called Hi Five recorded in the '60s. Now days it's probably most associated with the Yogi Bhajan Kundalini Yoga folks.

May the long time sun
Shine upon you,
All love surround you,
And the pure light within you
Guide your way on.

A beautiful piece of melodic trance in its own right.
