Our animated cartoon work on guru-yoga theme

Postby Sergii Zinoviev » Tue Oct 16, 2012 9:25 pm

This was made as a video greeting card for our teacher on his birthday, but many people think it's a good example of combining good sense of humor with your practice, which can help a lot to get one's mind relaxed.

The film is in Russian but it has English script captions (please, check if your CC bottom on your youtube player interface is on, it should be red when it's on).
The story reflects guru-yoga practice, where a disciple gets connected to his teacher's wisdom and experience. Sometimes a student meets many obstacles. But faith, diligence as well as good sense of humor help him to overcome.

GREAT!!!!!!
Profile Picture: "The Foaming Monk"
The Chinese characters are Fo (buddha) and Ming (bright). The image is of a student of Buddhism, who, imagining himself to be a monk, and not understanding the true meaning of the words takes the sound of the words literally. Likewise, People on web forums sometime seem to be foaming at the mouth.
Original painting by P.Volker /used by permission.
