The vocal style reminds me of Mark Oliver Everett from the band "EELS".

Yeah, that song is a real masterpiece in my opinion. The video is almost too effective, I can't really bear to watch it anymore. I think anyone who is familiar with depression will know what I mean. I just found out about him, but he seems like a pretty impressive guy, and he's going to be playing in San Francisco on May 9!

:woohoo:

Thanks for the heads up about The Eels, I'll check them out.

I know metal isn't all too big in Buddhism... But these guys have evolved into a very progressive melodic band. Can't get enough of their new album.

Fantastic track from Porcupine Tree, featuring the dynamic Robert Fripp on the electric guitar:

I know I can't be the only metalhead here.

And for those wondering if there's such a thing as Buddhist metal:

And, just because I'm a fan of death metal, something from that genre that's a bit on the lighter side:

1. Slayer-Seven Faces
2. Metallica-Battery
3. The Firstborn-Eight Flashing Lances
4. Crematory-I Never Die

SWANS = Yay.

One of the best groups ever, and awesome that they are back together.

Yay x2. :D
Swans are not for the 'lighthearted.' ;)

Swans v.2012 - From 'The Seer,' with Karen O.

There is a growing
Golden light
Flowered and folding
Behind the mirror of your eyes...
