This is a pendant which was given to those of us that took refuge yesterday. Has anyone seen this before, or know anything about it? I know it has the Buddha on one side and Guan Yin on the other, but I don't know much else about it.

Congratulations on your ceremony!

Don't know much about the pendants though. At the Shaolin ceremony, they gave us a beautiful bracelet with the figure of Kwan Yin.

The side with Guanyin says "Homage to Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva" (南无观世音菩萨), and the one with Shakyamuni says "Homage to the Original Teacher Shakyamuni Buddha" (南无本师释迦牟尼佛)... but with traditional characters.
