Myself and many others who spent time in Dharamsala remember with great affection the warm, traditional and learned Geshe Sonam Rinchen, who taught at the library of Tibetan Works and Archives for nearly 40 years.

May all those who received his clear, pure and transformative teachings do him justice through trying to put them into practice.

From Kaari in Dharamsala:
Quote:
Dear friends
Our most precious teacher Ven. Geshe Sonam Rinchen passed away at 1am Indian time 5th October.

We will post more details as they come to hand.

We have been asked by friends what they can do at this time, and Geshe Sangey Thinley has given this advice:

Remember our great teachers kindness at this time.

What is happening now...

The Geshes and monks will collect in both Dharamsala and at House No.2 at Sera to do Pujas over the coming days/weeks.
