Khenpo Guru teaching in Florida

Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche will be traveling to Gulf Breeze, FL, in June to teach Transforming Suffering and Happiness by Dodrupchen Jigme Tenpe Nyima and give Vajrasattva empowerment. The hosting sangha, Palyul Changchub Chöling, has requested other empowerments as well, and Rinpoche is currently looking into which texts he has so that he knows what he can give in addition. This means that even if you have Vajrasattva, there may be other empowerments given that you wish to receive.

You can find the 3rd Dodrupchen's text here: http://www.lotsawahouse.org/tibetan-masters/dodrupchen-III/transforming-suffering-and-happiness

For those who aren't familiar with Khen Rinpoche, he is the late Kyabjé Penor Rinpoche's regent in North America and faithful disciple of H.H. Karma Kuchen Rinpoche, the current head of the Palyul Nyingma lineage. He is also one of few senior Khenpos who teaches at Ngagyur Nyingma Institute, the shedra of Namdroling, H.H. Penor Rinpoche's monastery in Bylakuppe, South India. Rinpoche speaks excellent English and teaches in it, so one can be confident that they are directly receiving the Dharma from him. He is affectionately known as "Khenpo Guru" due to his striking resemblance to Guru Rinpoche.

Seriously, if he grew out his hair and put on a lotus hat, he'd be the spitting image!

A detailed biography of Rinpoche can be found on the Palyul International website: http://www.palyul.org/eng_biokhenpo_tsewanggyatso.htm

More details will be posted here as they become available, so stay tuned.
"The Sutras, Tantras, and Philosophical Scriptures are great in number. However life is short, and intelligence is limited, so it's hard to cover them completely. You may know a lot, but if you don't put it into practice, it's like dying of thirst on the shore of a great lake. Likewise, it happens that a common corpse is found in the bed of a great scholar." ~ Karma Chagme
