Was the first time to try and participate for me. How long does the transmission take usually? I guess I will sit and listen the the static a bit more.

Well it seems "no-thing" is being transmitted.... very high level stuff :jawdrop: . lol.

but i second these emotions: :tantrum: :techproblem:

all the best,
bryan

It usually takes under an hour, around 45 min...or so.
But don't forget that Rinpoche gives introduction with every retreat.

I can and will go to a teaching / retreat when he comes to the east coast, usa.
Look forward to be able to see him in person, hopefully sooner than later.
Will keep my eyes on the schedule of events coming in 2014.

reflecting more after my emotional post
The appreciation I feel for being present to do this practice with Guru
It has been a while since I tuned into a webcast, I went through an experience of new nativity etc. that's why the excitement was increased.

nice to also tune in with all those who tuned in also

peace
:yinyang:  :P

Bummer guys!

But as has been mentioned above - just tune in to the next retreat and Rinpoche will give direct transmission. There is a Mandarava Chudlen retreat coming up from Dec 5th - 9th. RInpoche is also giving an extremely rare teaching on Kalachakra which was a terms of his Root Guru from December 26 - 1st Jan. Both of these are down as open webcasts.

In the mean time - it is worth considering that Rinpoche has said that for most practices, if someone is determined to receive transmission in the near future then it is OK to start practicing.

Get to it!

A small correction: The Kalachakra retreat is scheduled as closed webcast, as per information received from Dzamling Gar.

That might change to open webcast as some other retreats in the past which were also listed as closed webcasts only to be changed a day or two before to open webcasts.

Karma, huh? Nails you every time! May the merit of all this that were trying to follow the webcast increase so that they will once again be present for the precious opportunity to receive pointing out instructions! Just practice Khanti and Adhiṭṭhāna and everything will be all right!
