Tashi delek,

Many thanks for old Bob' s elucidations about Dharma Center(s).
If one is functioning like that others do it on the "same" beat

May i take a look into the bookkeeping? :jumping:
Then we know all and don' t need to speculate about costs, debts, income, expensive, cheap, generosity, compassion etc.

Like we know have big things big costs and small things little costs.
Big things are paid by the members /visitors, small things are paid by the members / visitors.

In case of a foundation there is no voting right because the foundation is only ruled by:
the secretary, chairman and treasurer.

The most Dharma centers worldwide are foundation structures where the money can easily be flushed. So we can have complains etc. but at the end we don' t have any ground to stand on, except the ground of the Teaching room.

But before we can enter that place we have to pull our wallet, how much please ?
Sorry you cannot pay? Then please go home, we also have our costs.

Afterwards is the profit counted.......... :applause:

You do not understand how things work in the DC, nor should you presume too. But the fact is that profit is not a motive on any level.

Well, taking swings at the DC via pricing and costing is not fair or appropriate on any level. I know this wasn't the intention of the OP. Anyway, there's no utility in this thread. Nobody was ever exploited in the DC neither were there any finantial scandals or anything remotely similar (or any other types of scandals, for that matter).
There will always be people complaining about prices. This is as old as money, I guess.

Let's put it to rest then.

Best wishes,
