Supposing a person had already realized the nature of mind prior to Direct Introduction, would that persons root guru still be the first guru who introduces them to Dzogchen despite that they had already seen the nature of mind?
Obviously realization here means simply having seen it, one knows what it is and now can work towards full realization and stabilization of that state. It doesn't mean one is deluded into thinking they are perfect fully realized masters, because it would be a contradiction to then seek instruction from anyone. All it means is that the Direct Introduction would just be repetitious, that all ways of describing the nature of mind post realization would sound the same, whereas prior to realization they can sound different or like they are describing different things hence leading to different and wrong conclusions until the right form of introduction is given. Hence the difficultly in realizing it in the first place, because its non conceptual in nature so the concepts used to describe it have no essential meaning in regards to the actual state itself, but only a relative meaning in that finger/moon kind of way. That basically Direct Introduction was "bound" to work in this case, because the person already knows that whatever is said will lead to the realization of the primordial state at the same time as the teacher giving the introduction.
