A Lamp to Dispel Darkness
Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche will hold the annual Fall Seminar at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery, Kathmandu, starting on November 20.
Rinpoche will teach based on a text entitled A Lamp to Dispel Darkness which was composed in 1906 by the very renowned scholar and Dzogchen master, Mipham Rinpoche. Extremely short and pithy, this profound Dzogchen practice manual was composed especially for the benefit of “city yogis” who have little time to devote themselves to scholarly studies and contemplations, yet still wish to train in mind-essence.
Please be aware of the following requirements:
Due to the profundity of this Dzogchen teaching, which is normally only taught to small gatherings of qualified students in a restricted retreat-like setting, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche has requested that participants who wish to view the Online Seminar should fulfill the following two requirements:
1) Participants must have already formally taken refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
2) Participants must have already begun the Preliminary Practices (Tib. ngon-dro).
It is highly recommended that, in order to get a deep understanding of the material presented, participants must view the Seminar in its entirety, not in part.
You need to be a registered DharmaSun user in order to register for this Online Seminar.
Registration is open from Nov 17- Nov 30. The Seminar will be recorded daily between Nov 20 and Nov 30. Registered participants will be able to access these teachings online from Nov 21 until Dec 10, 2010 only.
Seminar donation: USD $108
