There is no separation in between you and something outside or in front of you.
Rinpoche explains all these often as part of the transmission.
Moreover, the instructions of the transmission cannot be discussed in a public forum. Please keep this in mind when you post questions here.

Rinpoché often explained that it has to be visualized in reverse position ... and this is not a discussion.

You are right, own mind must be able to "See Rinpoche", which is not limited to the Wisdom-Compassion emanation Chogyam Namkhay Norbu Rinpoche La. Wisdom has no "limitations like a particular place" to guide me fool out of suffering misperception. Wisdom will not say: oh woopsee, now she/he is on the toilet, there I don't guide.
Wisdom compassion is not based on samsaric rules. I think the compassionate light of wisdom shines everywhere. While Namkhay Norbu La of course, makes no distinctions in wisdom and its emanations, "we" need pointing to..

Wisdoms' lights are not separate.

Why would there be any doubt because this is exactly as its been
presented in all images distributed for years and years and
hung right above Rinpoche at retreats etc. of course he would not distribute
the wrong image for aesthetic purposes and risk creating confusion
and incorrect visualizations. I'm not sure what Malcolm meant?

Well...There obviously is/was some confusion ...hence this and other threads...so I just thought I'd settle for good...Plus, as I mentioned, I'm getting a calligraphy/painting done so I wanted a definitive answer. Maybe you should have 'chipped in' earlier

Exactly! I had no doubt either.
Since Rinpoche has explained everything about the colors/elements during the various transmissions.
