It depends on the lama and the situation, whether it is a public teaching, a retreat, or more like an audience? I could take it up with Gyalwang Drukpa for example.
There are traditional teachings, told by Thinley Norbu e.g., that a Nirmanakaya who teaches Dharma is a special type of Nirmanakaya, and that there are many are types of Nirmanakaya too,...

New developments have taken place, this process is called Alkaline Hydrolysis . Here is a very interesting video about this new & "green" method of disposing the human corpse:

In Britain in recent years Woodland Burial in biodegradable wicker containers has started to become popular. A tree is planted over your body, so I suppose when you decompose you nourish the tree. Seems a much more pleasant & sustainable way of being disposed than being pumped full of preservatives and buried in a varnished box, or being set on fire. :twothumbsup:
