Rime Geshe Kelsang Wangmo!

Kelsang Wango has become the first female geshe(is she the first female geshe in history or the first Western female geshe?)! She received a Rime Geshe diploma (equivalent to a Ph.D. in Buddhist Philosophy) conferred by IBD at graduation ceremonies held on its big campus in the Kangra Valley, Wednesday, 27 April 2011.

More info on Geshe Wangmo and there are other nuns, Himalayan nuns, fast on her trail! This is amazingly good news!
