This is so disgusting and a true story, scary and tragic, ruined my day --makes me want to practice so much that I would never want to encounter such stories!

For those who are tortured, bound and beaten,
Distressed by passion or captured by delusion,
May these beings – fearful, faced with sorrow –
Be freed from the shackles of bondage.

Perhaps schizophrenia, people are so bound to their delusions, they get captured by impermanence, yet thinking their reality is permanent continue in horrific circumstances.

Friends, that will be the job of Bodhisatvas, to relieve these people in eternal torment of their self created nightmares and show them the Tathagatha Garbha, their pure mind.
