Difficulty Meditating?

Post by edearl »

Physicians speaking in the video Preventing and Reversing Diabetes Naturally (see link to netflix below) say that breathing slowly, about 6 times a minute, changes our physiology to reduce stress and make us feel better, even without meditating. They also recommend meditating. Modern medicine has finally discovered what Buddhists have been doing for a couple of eons, and this information reinforces advice several of you have given to novices like me to continue practicing, do not give up.

HHDL: "My confidence in venturing into science lies in my basic belief that as in science so in Buddhism, understanding the nature of reality is pursued by means of critical investigation: if scientific analysis were conclusively to demonstrate certain claims in Buddhism to be false, then we must accept the findings of science and abandon those claims."
