The Great Ksitigarbha Gatha
Ksitigarbha, Greatly Kind and Compassionate,
With endless Vows and Aspirations,
Transforming innumerable beings into Buddhas,
Whilst remaining a Sravaka,
When Hell is emptied, all beings saved,
Hence, he will realize Bodhi,
May He favour blessings, tacitly and precise,
And we foreordained in the Oceanwide Lotus Pool Assembly!

Praise to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva
O Incomparably Wonderful Earth Store Bodhisattva,
Appearing in His Golden Transformation Body,
Wondrous Dharma resonating in Three Paths and Six Realms.
Gracing those of four births and ten beings,
His Pearl radiating Heaven's Halls;
His Golden Six-Ringed Khakkaram opens wide Hell's doors,
Guiding those with causes of successive lives;
Bowing at the Nine-Floral Terrace of the Honored One.
Homage! One of the Nine Flower Summit, Dark and Suffering Worlds,
Mighty Tenfold Wheels Suffrage, Honoured One, Earth Store King Bodhisattva"

" Furthermore, Bodhisattva Akasagarbha, in the present or in the future, if any devas, nagas, deities or demons should hear Ksitigarbha's name, worship Ksitigarbha's image or just hear about Ksitigarbha's fundamental vows and deeds and if they should, at the same time, praise him, and make obeisance to him, then they will gain seven kinds of benefits, namely:
Rapid progress in the holy stages of achievement;
Elimination and disappearance of all evil karma;
Protection and attendance of the Buddhas;
Nonretrogression from the path of Bodhi;
Great increase of own's own powers;
Complete awareness and knowledge of one's previous lives;
Final achievement of Buddhahood."
