Prayers for the victims of false flags

Postby prayerwheel » Thu Nov 14, 2013 10:14 pm

Many people die for the political agenda of a few.
Please pray for the people who die from this.

Also there's a warning about South Flower and West Fifth Avenue in Los Angeles being the target of a false flag op, so avoid it for a while maybe?

I have not found a Buddhist site that is aware of these false flag agendas which have been around every since there has been ruling bodies and organized for profit wars.

May all beings be peaceful.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be safe.
May all beings awaken to
the light of their true nature.
May all beings be free.

How do we know that your warning is not a false flag op? As you can see, this sort of crap can just proliferate endlessly, so best not to waste your time with it.

Just go with the basics: do good deeds, avoid bad deeds, tame your mind. There's more than enough there to keep you busy.

Pravda and Izvestia in the former Soviet Union would have been hard-pressed to surpass the American media in their subservience to the official agenda... They have abandoned the notion of objectivity or even the idea of providing a public space where problems are discussed and debated... It's a scandal that reveals the existence of a system of propaganda, not of serious media so essential in a democratic society. Edward Herman, professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania

EDIT: Human history is riddled with false flags to manipulate people and start wars. No need to throw the baby out with the bath water...

Yeah, someone like Edward Herman never would have supported the kind of nonsense conspiracy-izing that goes on in some corners today though, especially as some of it serves an underlying reflexively far right agenda. his writings are lucid, and based on actual analysis and research, not internet concocted hearsay or shrill hand-wringing. In addition, criticism from people like him and colleague Chomsky is actually logical and, relevant, and meant to forward debate on systemic issues.. unlike unprovable conspiracy which serves pretty much the opposite function, merely whipping people up and creating paranoia with no focus, transfer of information, or plan, much less a deep understanding of something like propaganda..which Herman certainly has.

In short, Alex Jones and 9-11 truthers ain't Edward Herman or someone similar, and trying to compare the two is IMO pretty questionable, not everyone that thinks are system is messed up share the same philosophy, or the same analysis, plenty of times they are at odds actually.

Sorry if that offends anyone, not my intention.

@Johnny Dangerous, this photo will make you laugh and describes me perfectly!
Don't tell me what to do.jpg

I like Alex Jones….hahaha But I love Noam Chomsky. Noam ticked Alex off so bad during an interview Alex blew a gasket and started foaming at the mouth and Noam hung up on him. The question was about the 9/11 official story which just does not make sense to me, especially how the buildings fell into themselves, I come from a family who build houses and cars. We have a talent to know how things are put together and will fall apart. Ten years later Noam actually admits that the official story isn't holding water. Noam insists this fighting over 9/11 is a distraction, I agree.

Anyway we could argue forever about the Lincoln, Kennedy assassinations, what really happened with the 9/11 incidents as our house falls down around our ears. What I can see from my doorstop is my community is falling apart. Our small business, farms, industry are failing, our infrastructure is neglected, our youth have no future, our country is in massive debt because of misplaced workers, to big to fail banks and businesses, Wall Street scams, and on going unofficial wars. This is what I know and my motivation for researching why my country is run by insane psychopaths who thirst for war and make profits from the suffering of the common people. http://www.ponerology.com

What happened to my country? That's how I started researching Buddhism, why am I suffering? Now I ask, why is my community, country, the whole world suffering while a few are reaping trillions of dollars in profits? We can have intelligent discourse without saying to someone you wear a tinfoil hat or black helicopters are following you. There is profit in chaos and divide and conquer. There is a whole list of ad hominems used to stop conversations and inquires regarding why our world is going totally insane.

No matter how paranoid or conspiracy-minded you are, what the government is actually doing is worse than you imagine. In America, a 'conspiracy nut' is defined as a journalist who reports the news two years before the New York Times by Greg Palast. Governments, whatever their pretensions otherwise, try to preserve themselves by holding the individual down... Government itself, indeed, may be reasonably defined as a conspiracy against him. Its one permanent aim, whatever its form, is to hobble him sufficiently to maintain itself by H.L. Mencken, David Edwards, Burning All Illusions, p177. The media use the epithet 'conspiracy theorist' to discredit anyone who discusses the criminal activities of real people, Shadow MastersHow Governments and Their Intelligence Agencies are Working with Drug Dealers and Terrorists for Mutual Benefit and Profitby Daniel Estulin p3

Yes, Chomsky is great and one of the many credible sources who will tell you point blank conspiracy is a fact of life. It's all about manufacturing consent to profita small minority at a very great cost to a great many people. It is absolutely sick, but we are talking about sociopaths here; we can't understand them because they are really not like us.

He's also quick to point out that they think they are in the right, the entire thing is perpetuated by a high degree of self delusion, from the governed and the governing. I'm also not sure i've ever seen him use the term "conspiracy" in the sense we are discussing it here, and i've read a cubic buttload of Chomsky. most of what he discusses has nothing to do with conspiracy, but (IMO correct) re framing of readily available facts and happenings, and their systemic causes.

As an example, anyone can read the People For A New American Century documents that existed years prior to Gulf War 2, and talked about the invasion, how it would benefit America, usher in a new age of 'democratication; in the Middle East etc. because they had it on their freaking website All of this happens above board, conspiracies are wholly unnecessary, this is how capitalism works...it's talked about really openly, no one needs conspiracies about The Bilderbergers or Jewish bankers or whatever, it's just different from what is sold to the public.

I really think the personalization of systemic problems into bogeyman and conspirators is pointless, these things happen because of systemic structures (without touching on the Buddhist take atm), not nefarious plotting, or individuals who desire to harm others with some grand hidden plan..surely from a Buddhist standpoint also, this obvious..everyone believes they are the good guy, the patriot, etc. Ample evidence for this is the fact that those who try to "change the system from within" are often unable to do so, and repeat the same patterns. The hyperbole is deafening to be honest.

Oh, I've heard him say it. I'll see if I can track down a video where he is saying exactly this because I have seen him say "conspiracy is a fact of life" while making the point that people think they don't exist for some reason and then he listed a bunch of conspiracies.

He's a very smart man, tghough, and isn't likely to pepper all his writings with terms he sees have clearly lost their power to communicate effectively.

Check out what he says here, for example:http://disinfo.com/2013/05/noam-chomsky-a-conspiracy-theorist-of-the-highest-magnitude-defining-conspiracy-theory-what-are-the-theories-behind-the-conspiracies/

Yeah..dude, i've been reading him for years, he is not a "conspiracy theorist" in the sense that Daniel Estulin or Alex Jones is, and conflating the two (IMO) either means lack of familiarity with his work, or simply not being critical about other stuff. He's also very much an Anarcho Syndicalist, Libertarian Socialist, or whatever term you prefer, and is quite different from those other guys in terms of his own ideology, and thus his own take on things. he doesn't talk a bunch of internationalist conspiracies of Jews, takeover of American sovereignty or anything like that that you typically get with the "NWO" set..it's apples and oranges most definitely.

http://www.informationclearinghouse.inf ... e30251.htm

Just the nearest example I can find...

Btw, your article mentions actual conspiracies that people uncovered, you know, COINTELPRO, Iran Contra etc. etc...not youtube videos about exploding paint on 911..gotta have some kind of filter for what's legit and what's questionable lol.

*Not to say I accept the official story of 9-11 either.

i just wanna say that Alex Jones is fake. he is a mis info agent that someone has made him to mix the conspiracy theories with lies and to provoke and stir up hatred and rage in people.

Here is an interview from 1999 where he explains right away that "conspiracy theory" is a four-letter word.http://bostonphoenix.com/archive/featur ... OMSKY.html

Of course he's not like Alex Jones! Dear lord.

Btw, a month before 9/11, Chomsky was giving a lecture on PBS predicting a massive attack on US soil because of our foreign policy in third world countries and the middle east and because we had an agenda since the 1960s to get that oil during the peak oil crisis which was "now"(he said, back then). He explained how a special cabinet was called by the president and the papers they drew up spell it all out very clearly: we had to take over that region of the middle east if the US was to remain on top. The documents are freely available online and were unearthed by FOIA request, anyone can see for themselves, he said it is a matter of public record that nobody seems to know about*... kind of funny how he distanced himself from the "truthers" later, I thought.

* I have had trouble trying to locate the document. I did find it online immediately after 9/11 because it was the first thing I thought of. I did find this quote which mentions it the same topic: "In a staff discussion 44 years ago, President Eisenhower described the campaign of hatred against us [in the Arab world], not by the governments but by the people. His National Security Council outlined the basic reasons: the US supports corrupt and oppressive governments and is opposing political or economic progress because of its interest in controlling the oil resources of the region." - note 37 from this huge page of interesting Chomsky quotes... http://oaks.nvg.org/sa5ra4.html

Holy crap, I can't believe Chomsky agreed to talk to Alex Jones. Alex Jones shows what an idiot he is compared to Chomsky at the end of the conversation around 35 minutes in as he's getting rid of Chomsky.

Some good posts here.

A lot of what both Noam Chomsky and Alex Jones have to say is worthy of consideration.

Alex Jones is likely controlled-opposition though (although aren't all of us are 'controlled opposition' to some degree, as long as we still have ego?), whether he knows it or not. And the way he flips out at times discredits what he has to say in the eyes of others, even though a good portion of what he says is accurate.

I often like Noam Chomsky's (who apparently considers himself a "Cultural Zionist") criticisms of political-Zionism and the terrorist Israeli state. As to whether Chomsky is a crypto-political-Zionist as some claim, I don't know; but I doubt that he is.

Anyway, when we say "right wing" or "far right", we have to recognize a big distinction between neo-conservatives and conservative Libertarians.

Neo-conservatives—even though they are in many ways 'conservative' and are certainly very regressive—are actually quite left economically and politically. Like a lot of leftists, they are for big government, are for the stripping of civil liberties, and are as corpocratic as—if not more than—many 'democrats' and leftists are. Neo-con is also pretty much a synonym for Evangelist-Christianist-political-Zionist.

Conservative Libertarians on the other hand are often quite progressive—even though conservative in many ways—and are for civil liberties, are anti-war, and in general have a live and let-live attitude.

Now even though I agree with many Libertarian views; I'm really not against Socialism itself, if it is done right (just as I am not necessarily against free-market capitalism, if it done right).

Also, I am generally for most of what liberals are supposed to be about.

Liberals are supposed to be anti-racist, yet a lot of self-proclaimed liberals are some of the most racially-prejudiced people I've met (of course they often express their racism only around other Caucasians & Ashkenazis).

Liberals are supposed to be about ecological sustainability, yet so-called liberals often buy into big-pharma, Bill Gates, and Monsanto's toxic garbage.

Liberals are supposed to be open minded, yet "liberals" often ostracize anyone who questions orthodox official scientism or other mainstream views by calling them "quacks", "conspiracy nuts", etc.

So it's not so easy to categorize political views; at least not anymore, given how complicated things have become.

Just my two-cents for this thread....

This discussion is about samsara, not Dharma. That's ok, just let's be clear about it.
A human being has his limits. And thus, in every conceivable way, with every possible means, he tries to make the teaching enter into his own limits. ChNN
