Brand 'makes a difference ' ?
This side of the Atlantic there is a general consensus among the warmists that he has put back their cause by two years.
Its a bit like being represented on the world stage by Charlie Sheen.
Did they vote, or it's just a gut feeling? Nevertheless, whenever I hear Brand views, I am positively surprised, because his intentions are pure, and he knows how to promote them. It's better to see a crazy guy with a sense of humor fighting for a great cause, then an eloquent wiseacre kicking the shit out of the abrahamic religions for money.
Brand makes a difference because he knows how to speak to simple people, and he knows how to make his words heard.
There are many many Brits who would find the idea of his intentions being pure as deeply funny.
Perhaps its a case of familiarity breeding contempt. We, his fellow citizens, know having watched him now for some years , that he is just as likely next month or next year to espouse the completely opposite view. Whatever keeps him in the public eye.
My Charlie Sheen analogy is actually pretty close.
My mentioning the Hitchin brothers was in no way to endorse their views. It was to contrast the genuinely articulate and educated, with the empty, pretentious and subtly skewed speech of Brand.
I can assure you he has impressed the rest of the world far more than he has those of his fellow Brits who are more attuned to the use of the kind of language he is aping.
