Interested in learning Sanskrit and/or Tibetan

Does anybody have experience with learning these languages as a total beginner. What's the best way to go about it?

I would like to learn some too. I've seen some online courses but I don't know how that works for learning a language. Is there a university near you?

If you already have an Indian Language background, learning Sanskrit (Atleast the Basics) on your own is actually very easy. Because all the Indian languages have similar syntax and you would have picked up a handful of Sanskrit Vocabulary already

I have no idea about others though
