Retreat 2012. THis phenomenon lasted for about an hour at noon August

A rainbow halo appeared during our 100 Amidewa Mantra Recitation Retreat 2012 August 16-19 above the Taipei Buddhist Centre.



"The blessings and the compassion of the Buddha Amitabha are always present, the dharmakaya nature pervades everywhere. Sometimes, when practitioners generate single-minded devotion and pray fervently, sambhogakaya manifestations emerge from the dharmakaya space and appear to the vision of faithful disciples. The five colors of the rainbow represent the five male buddhas or the five wisdoms, who are in union with the five female buddhas, or the five elements; a bond appearing as a halo of emptiness and wisdom. This spectacular display is a sign that the practitioners of this retreat have brought forth a high level of one-minded devotion."
