Vasubandhu's and Kosmological point of view

Am very interested to know more about Vasubhandu's kosmological point of view.

He seems to be have a different opinion than the Buddhist and Hindhu explanation about the Kosmos structure.
Buddhists say that this would be his personal point of view, but that is not what is logic to me.

- If it does not stem from Hidhuism and Buddhism, what would be than his source of information?
