You know your a Tibetan Buddhist when,...

You don't mind if your neighbors smoke pot, but when a whiff of tobacco smoke comes across your deck you close all the windows and go inside.

What other strange things do we do and no longer notice?

You know you're a Tibetan Buddhist when you reflexively jam your left ring finger into all food and drink and flick it in the air.

You feel qualified to argue enthusiastically about the superiority of your lineage ... while your own practice sucks.

You don't have any decent clothing anymore because you've spent all your yearly funds and more on expensive incense, books, tsok offerings, dharmapala offerings, lama offerings, commissioned pujas, divinations, kataks, more dharma gear, and endless teachings and wangs.

At a certain time every morning your backyard looks like a soup kitchen for squirrels and crows because they have figured out your pudga schedule.

Your other buddhist friends who don't follow tibetan tradition think doing Ngondro prostrations are crazy, you say you enjoy them and then they think you are an ascetic.

What's a Tibetan Buddhist?
"All phenomena of samsara depend on the mind, so when the essence of mind is purified, samsara is purified. Since the phenomena of nirvana depend on the pristine consciousness of vidyā, because one remains in the immediacy of vidyā, buddhahood arises on its own. All critical points are summarized with those two." - Longchenpa
