In the Kagyu video at around 50:00-58:00 he talks about Mikyo Dorje (Karmapa 8) backing away from the Jonang-esque Shentong of Rangjung Dorje (Karmapa 3). Karmapa 8 and his followers are said to see the Buddha Bodies as self-empty, but other-empty "in the way they appear".

I don't' think his interpretation of what that means is right, but in any case it is pretty weird.
A human being has his limits. And thus, in every conceivable way, with every possible means, he tries to make the teaching enter into his own limits. ChNN
