Probably the Shangpa Kagyu version of shi-nay/shamata. If I remember correctly it is a series of forms & colors representing earth, wind, fire & water, etc.

Do you want to invest a lot of your time and effort in doing shi-nay? It isn't easy. But if that is what you wanted to do anyway then it is an excellent practice and you should make the effort to go. But if you're only doing Dharma tourism, maybe it's not worth the effort to simply get some karmic seeds.

Thank you. Yes thats the practice that im talking about. I im very intrested in that practice and the lama said its good for practicing during dreams wich is good for me because i tend to have a couple of lucid dreams a week and have discusse it with my lama. On the other hand i dont think ill have the oportunity to invest time in this practice as im doing other practices and i dont want to get over my head. So i gess its like you said, just for the karmic seed. I guess this will happen a lot. Beeing afraid of "leeting the train go", ill just hope that the oportunity will present itself again in the future.

Im still interested in learing more about the practice if someone has expirience on it.

Sorry about my spelling mistakes, i dont have a corrector on this pc.

you could read alan b wallace's attention revolution. it is a good book about shine with lots of detailed information, and he is a very experienced shine practitioner. and as you might know shine in sanskrit is shamatha.
