Zen influenced Haiku poems, Haikus are 17 syllable poems. Typically, 5 syllables for first line, 7 syllables in the second line, and 5 syllables in the 3rd line. Traditionally a haiku presents a pair of contrasting images, one suggestive of time and or a place, while the other is vivid, ephemeral observation. Help me write a haiku! Let's see who can write the best relating to Mahayana Buddhism!

i remember when i was young, in elementary school, and we had to write haikus
i wrote this one without knowing the buddhist significance of it:
what if life's a dream
where nothing is what it seems
i want to wake up
(something along those lines)
many years later when i got into buddhism and philosophy i made the connection and thought it was neat

7=5=7 is only in base 10.
If you write haiku in base 3 it's 12-21-12:
A day on Mars will stretch the five second food rule,
The blooming of a garden rose is missed by the snail who blinks at the very same time,
Haiku’s meter thus warped when composed in base three.
