Does any level of buddhism recognize seeing something like this in the forehead region when performing stuff like kumbhaka?

The white star is news to me.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the source on this image? I could guess (Golden Dawn? a John Dee revival movement?) but I'd rather not make unwarranted assumptions.
