Thanks all for your comments - and I know that you are right - it's only the butt that sits on the cushion.
I do believe however that when the butt does the time on the cushion, I am more mindful during the day and my patience and tolerance is more 'up there' -
I don't think the break has been completely detrimental - what with moving into a new house, changing jobs etc, perhaps it's just what I needed.
Tonight I am fortunate to be going to a teaching with Ken Holmes (Kagyu - from Samye Ling in Scotland) and I am looking forward to it. Teachings here are few and far between!
Again, thanks for the comments and support. I'll stop beating myself up - and get the butt back on the cushion now!
