This is from the Christian Bible ... but I don't know chapter and verse.
Think about what it says anyhow.

Jesus was staying in the house of one of his followers.
They had young children, and Jesus was playing with the children.
The disciples were unhappy, Jesus had places they wanted him to go and things he had to do.
Finally one of the disciples approached him and said, "Lord, we must be going. We do not have time to play with these children. There is work that you must do."
Jesus answered like this, "I tell you, unless you become like unto a small child you shall not enter unto that kingdom of heaven".

Now then, how is that a Buddhist Dharma story?
Perhaps because also unless you enter the path and become like that small child you also can not enter unto that
Quote:
kingdom of Heaven
that you seek?
Just a thought.

Did you think it was not there--

Did you think you had to go elsewhere (simply) to find it?

I don't remember that particular story - are you sure you're not getting confused with the start of Matthew 18?

But there is some wonderful stuff in the BIble - one of my favourite passages being 1 Corinthians 13 - just think compassion every time you read the word 'love' - compassion as an antidote for negative afflictions is very dharma I think.

I love the stories involving fish . . . maybe I am just indulging my lobsterian proclivities:
However the metta is not reciprocated . .

Ichthys is also part of Buddhist iconography, representing the wide awake.

Glad to hear there is dharma in the bible.

Pointings show the more we grasp 'real phenomena by our thoughts', the more minds' apprehended play becomes heavy serious.
I am a pirat says a child, I am a politician says the adult. I am Mary says the river.

Oh yes. Droogiefret, I try your medicine out, there we go...

Or the child, turning, turning and turning: turns inside out.
