Hi Tara

I have been recently been visiting this wonderful forum, and reading some inspiring posts. I registered, wanting to send someone in the community here a PM, but found that I am not sure how the interface works. I thought I had sent the message last night, but found on returning to my profile that the message is still sitting in the outbox, instead of appearing in my Sent Messages folder. Your help would be much appreciated by this non-tech oriented person...

Namaste

If it's still in your outbox, you have sent it, but the target has not looked at it yet.

Thanks much, catmoon. Just one other question... is the message sent or forwarded to the member's personal email address? Or would it depend on his checking into his member's profile (inside DW)? The only reason I ask is that the person has not visited the forum since August, according to the stat available. But, if he can't be reached any other way, so be it... Thanks again.

No, the PM box here.

The last update I remember reading was that PM alerts are not forwarded to emails.

Thanks Mr G.

So, in other words, if the person I am trying to reach does not visit this site, then he will not be aware of messages for him... am I getting it right finally? :juggling: If THAT is the case... is there any protocol in place for someone to have their message forwarded to the other person? Say, by one of the administrators of the forum -- since members leave their email addresses as part of the registration process. Sorry, but I am just trying to explore all the options here...

Thanks again to all for your kindness. :namaste:

Correct.

Unfortunately not.
