that would be cool.
If the thought of demons
Never rises in your mind,
You need not fear the demon hosts around you.
It is most important to tame your mind within....

In so far as the Ultimate, or the true nature of being is concerned,
there are neither buddhas or demons.
He who frees himself from fear and hope, evil and virtue,
will realize the insubstantial and groundless nature of confusion.
Samsara will then appear as the mahamudra itself….

So why can't we have one just like Dhamma Wheel?

Why do we need to settle for a second-rate chat room?

Why do those guys doing all the Pali chanting and dhamma dancing get preference?

If you wanted the two different websites chat's to be merged, the best route to go would be using an ajax IRC library, or plugin. It would be quite an undertaking to do it otherwise.

If the sites admins are interested in this, I could offer some advice, and/or do some research for them. Just send me a PM.

Thanks for the suggestions and other comments.

None of the active staff team have access to the database and as such we are not able to install a chat room. I will bring this topic to the attention of David N. Snyder as he is the owner of this forum and has access all areas.

As further dialogue won't alter the status quo I am locking this topic. Sorry for any inconvenience.

P.S. I too would like Dharma Wheel to have a functioning chat room. :coffee:

Okay, I see your goat. I'll work on separating the sheep from the goats when I get the chance.

Maybe we just need a system to show that there is someone in ready to chat?
Most time one is alone there and nobody knows.
We could start a thread called "I'm in the chatroom now. Who likes to join me?"
Because, if our mothers, who have been kind to us
From beginningless time, are suffering,
What can we do with (just) our own happiness?

Regular chat box is now set-up here too, like the one at Dhamma Wheel.
