Where can I get a relic-holder from?

Postby James the Giant » Sun Jun 17, 2012 5:30 am

I was recently given three tiny Buddha-relics by Ajahn Anan, and I need something nice to put them in, something like one of these glass or perspex stupas with a bit that unscrews, and you can put the relics inside.
I can't find any on ebay. I guess I may just get a nice tiny little perfume bottle or something, if I can't get a clear stupa-thing.
Currently the relics are sealed up in the hollow base of the Buddha-rupa on my altar.
EDIT: Found one on Ebay after all. Thanks and nevermind!

There is one on eBay. Item number 260913197490
I have no idea of the quality. The English is fun.

In Feb 1989 I was coming home from spending 3 months at my teacher's centre in India and stopped over in Singapore for a couple of days. In my wanderings I came across a Buddhist supplies shop and they had quite a range. Ever since returning, I've occasionally kicked myself for not bringing one home.
When I was in Myanmar 18 months ago I didn't see any small glass or perspex stupa-shaped relic containers. I did, however, see thousands of arahant relics at various locations inc. Mandalay Hill in garden variety glass jars.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.
kind regards,

Ben

Hi James the Giant,

If you still need one, I have one extra I will be happy to offer. You can send me an mp with your adress.
And you should find an suitable place for it.
