The precautionary principle should to be applied after a new study shows pigs are harmed by the consumption GM feed. The study lead by Dr Judy Carman points to:

"A new research paper [1], published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Organic Systems and released on Wednesday, revealed that pigs are seriously harmed by the consumption of feed containing genetically modified (GM) crops over a commercial rearing lifetime. Pigs fed on the GM diet had more severe stomach inflammation and GM fed females had on average a 25% heavier uterus than non-GM-fed females"

Of course the massive GMO bandwagon swung into high gear trying to debunk the findings. Monsanto is outraged that they are not able to slip anything they like into our food and how dare we protest or object as they only have 'world hunger' in mind. They are of course playing the role of great benefactor of humanity not profit motivated at all!

Meanwhile they are trying to start a project in Africa, introducing vitamin 'A' GMO enriched bananas. The Ugandans are objecting but they are still trying to steamroll their way forward regardless.
