Namaste!

Hi everyone.

Just joined your community after following a link from dhammawheel (which I also joined).

I'm a 21 year-old Canadian male from the Ontario area. I'm currently attending the University of Guelph studying biology but will be graduating and doing more studies in pharmacology at the University of Waterloo this winter.

My meditation practice has been fraught with difficulties and long lapses, and I hope that having the support of a community like this will help (there are sadly no real sanghas in this area and I only know one Buddhist). I hope we have many interesting and enlightening conversations.

Hi Cytosine, welcome to Dharma Wheel :)

I hope you'll find some support and assistance here. For what it's worth, it seems that a lot of people are in situations similar to yours. But having some online support from fellow practitioners can help, and we're always interested in hearing about your experiences and challenges.

Please have a look around and explore. There are people here who at various levels in Buddhist study and practice, so it's a nice mix of practitioners. And please feel free to ask questions as they come to mind.

Kind wishes,
Laura
