Hi I am new from NY need help identifying Nepalese Thanka

Postby swchristianson » Mon Feb 10, 2014 7:25 pm

Most recent travel to Nepal with the attached pictures of a new Thanka that I would like help identifying information about. It was produced in a school, a link to a picture of the center and one of the whole piece (sorry about the reflections) attached it measures 36 in by 50 in. Any help appreciated. Have travel pictures from Bhutan, Burma, Nepal, Cambodia, Bangkok, Hong Kong for any interested.

You might get better responses by posting in the Tibetan Buddhism forum, but I'm sorry to say that it looks to me like a 'fake' thangka.

That's the mandala of some deity or buddha.

Could you take a picture of the central figure?
