Hello all

Postby kirk5a » Wed Jan 22, 2014 4:06 am

Greetings everyone - I've practiced a little in a few Zen centers over the years. These days from a teachings standpoint I am primarily focused on the Pali suttas, but keep an eye out for helpful teachings from other areas. I do have a particular interest in Zen master Hakuin's life and teachings, as I can readily identify with his struggles and concerns. From a meditation standpoint right now I am drawn to "watch the mind right at the mind" practice such as explained by Ajaan Dune Atulo. Thanks for the site and thanks for having me.

Hi and welcome. :hi:
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself. Perception is not reality. What appear to be faults in others may actually be reflections of our own emotional afflictions. I don't have an attitude problem; you have a perception problem. Remember the way people treat us is their karma. The way we react is our own.~ Trulshik Rinpoche
