Hello from St. Louis

Postby seekingpeace » Tue Jan 07, 2014 11:41 pm

I have recently decided to take refuge. as someone who comes from a Catholic family/friend group (extended and immediate) I have been tentative about answering the pull of buddhism, but I feel in my heart that this is the place for me. I am unsure of my steps in the right (or wrong!) direction, but I am discovering more every day.

The first of the four noble truths saved my life. I hope to find friends here and be a friend to all, as well.

now here is a jedi, because I love star wars :jedi:

Hello and welcome. :hi:
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself. Perception is not reality. What appear to be faults in others may actually be reflections of our own emotional afflictions. I don't have an attitude problem; you have a perception problem. Remember the way people treat us is their karma. The way we react is our own.~ Trulshik Rinpoche
