Happy Birthday Cittasanto!

Postby Ben » Sun May 27, 2012 10:11 am

Please join me in wishing Upasaka Cittasanto a very happy birthday!

:woohoo:

Cittasanto, I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your very valuable contribution you have made to Dhamma Wheel and its 'community'.
I hope you have a wonderful day, my friend!
with metta,

Ben
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”

loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Thanks Guys!
I am cellebrating tomorrow instead of today, as it is a bank holiday here for the races which are about to start, and there are prior engagements... plus I found out today (coincidence) tomorrow is the celebration of the Buddhas Birthday in Korea, so it can be a double cellebration :anjali:

I am however offended no one has put up a silly birthday song???
(no pleasing some people :D)

I have just finished a 2 hour phone call with my partner, and went for a lovely solitary walk before, which turned into helping some lost people find their way back to the railway station (groudle steam railway)
so went home after that to get away from people :)

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.

Happy Birthday!!!
He turns his mind away from those phenomena, and having done so, inclines his mind to the property of deathlessness: 'This is peace, this is exquisite — the resolution of all fabrications; the relinquishment of all acquisitions; the ending of craving; dispassion; cessation; Unbinding.'

Hi cittasanto,

happy birthday, and

may your heart be unburdened, and at peace!

:anjali:
Then the Blessed One, picking up a tiny bit of dust with the tip of his fingernail, said to the monk, "There isn't even this much form...feeling...
perception...fabrications...consciousness that is constant, lasting, eternal, not subject to change, that will stay just as it is as long as eternity."
