I was pleased to find a site such as this. I am studying mainly Tibetan Buddhism. I am not a member of a sangha, as my location is not near an appropriate one. Lately I am concentrating on the eight verses of training the mind. Thank you for having me. :thanks:

Welcome Dana!

Where are you located? Maybe some of the members here can point you in the direction of a sangha near you?

As a Texas Tech alumni, I feel your pain. :)
Welcome to the board!
Your safest bet is probably the Zen temple in Amarillo, if you don't mind the drive.

Hi, Welcome to DharmaWheel!

There are a number of centers up the road from you in New Mexico. It's hardly ideal, but taking a road trip every now and again to get the teachings and practicing on your own isn't such a bad arrangement (speaking from experience... I spent many good years in Nevada & rural Idaho). Wishing you the best in practice...
