Hello from Lubbock
I was pleased to find a site such as this. I am studying mainly Tibetan Buddhism. I am not a member of a sangha, as my location is not near an appropriate one. Lately I am concentrating on the eight verses of training the mind. Thank you for having me.

Welcome Dana!
Where are you located? Maybe some of the members here can point you in the direction of a sangha near you?

As a Texas Tech alumni, I feel your pain.
Welcome to the board!
Your safest bet is probably the Zen temple in Amarillo, if you don't mind the drive.

Hi, Welcome to DharmaWheel!
There are a number of centers up the road from you in New Mexico. It's hardly ideal, but taking a road trip every now and again to get the teachings and practicing on your own isn't such a bad arrangement (speaking from experience... I spent many good years in Nevada & rural Idaho). Wishing you the best in practice...
