Re: gaden nyen gyu?
i have heard of something called an ear whispered gaden tradition . is this something within the gelugpa tradition , thats a little bit separate? ie. maybe like some of the methods that rechungpa learned. i have heard here and there that part of it is the lama chopa and the text on gelug-kagyu maha...

Re: Buddhism is peaceful?
That positive contribution would be more meaningful if you did the work necessary to have an informed opinion. How did the staff at your centre react to my suggestion that you learn Tibetan? Have you read any scholarly research on Phabongkha or that period of Tibetan history? Have you looked at the...

Re: Buddhism is peaceful?
So why are you participating here if it is so putrid? Go back to your board where you are moderator and head honcho and can set all the rules you like. Is it simply that the board is not active enough to maintain your attention so you feel compelled to come here, despite how putrid it is? Generally...

Re: Buddhism is peaceful?
Tsongkhapafan I agree. But the "Public Announcement" shows a sort of tar and feather through conjecture operation, and it has gone too far. Things were quiet, and improving, but someone's agenda has again opened the floodgates to projection and misunderstanding. I just really couldn't bel...

Re: Buddhism is peaceful?
Basically, undermining the reputation of everyone who doesn't see Phabongkhapa in the same way you do is what I'd like you stop. I have no problem with that. Individuals have different karma and therefore see things differently. However, it's okay to criticise Gelug Lamas who don't conform to the v...

Re: How to tell if a lama is an emanation of a deity?
For me it is simple. Vajradhara said that in degenerate times he would appear in the form of an ordinary spiritual guide. :namaste: Does this mean that any ordinary spiritual guide is, ipso facto, an emanation of Vajradhara? I ask because I'm trying to understand your answer, not because I'm intent...

Re: Supernatural powers of Unseen beings.
This is an excellent advise. Of course if you want to your respect can include practices such as sang, serkyem for the eight classes, sur, chö and so on. Do it at your own risk. These are generally Included as standard, I know when doing a protector Puja an offering is made to placate the regional ...
