Re: Dzogchen practice in Dorje Drolo cycle

Ok, I said this in an earlier post, there are TWO events.... In February is just an annual puja that you can join in with or do your own practice, his monastery does this every year. Rinpoche teaches between sessions on various subjects. In June, there is a SEPARATE, NEW event, where Rinpoche will g...

Re: Dzogchen practice in Dorje Drolo cycle

The 'Five Roots' refers to the deities and their accomplishmenta, included in the longer Sadhana, used for the Drupchen. got it, thank you. i am still confused though why the cycle is called Dorje Dröllo if it's only one of the 5 deities? is there other specifically Dorje Dröllo things? i don't kno...

.. a SEPARATE new event, in June (13-16th) where Rinpoche will give the Dorje Drolod Empowerment publicly for the first time and teachings specifically on the cycle, which will continue annually... do you happen to know the structure of the cycle? is this translated or students have to rely solely ...

Re: nasal breathing and nyingthig cycles

Likewise, the Longchen Nyingthig Aural lineage was passed down to Patrul, who instructed Luntog Tenpey Nyima. He in turn instructed Khenpo Ngachung, who wrote it all down. It is preserved in Khenpo Ngachung's collected works in the sealed section. These two text are what is known as the "aural...

Re: What are your favorite Lonying ngondro translations?

Hey y’all, Just wondering what everyone’s favorite longchen Nyingthig ngondro translations are and why? I have been using the same translation from lotsawa house for the longest time and I would really like to see some other translations to potentially practice with. I like the short text by The Fo...

Re: 3rd Akong Tulku identified

Hi Knotty,

I think you misunderstood Lama Yeshe Rinpoches talk on the anniversary of Akong Rinpoches death. AFAIK, there's hasn't been an actual Tulku recognised. LYR was talking in terms of what will happen when it does.

Re: Gambling

Gambling is a pretty pointless waste of accumulated merit. I dunno mate, playing some small stakes tournaments, including free-rolls, allowed me financially to travel to attend retreats and teachings. Poker is primarily a skill game, I don't gamble on anything else, like sports betting or house cas...

Re: After Recognition of Nature of Mind...

Poker and futures. I play 5 card on the low end table. Hold em gets expensive quick. I love throwing bones though. I may need to supplicate Dorje Legpa... I understand. There is holdem with limits and no limit holdem. To play pro you need a stake and play the buy in you can afford to fold for hours...

What type of gambling do you do? Poker and futures. I play 5 card on the low end table. Hold em gets expensive quick. I love throwing bones though. I may need to supplicate Dorje Legpa... I've recently started playing holdem again, I used to play both online and live about 12-15 years ago. I gave u...

Re: After Recognition of Nature of Mind...

Dorje Legpa is not a rgyal po, he is a ma sang, one of the seven ma sang brothers, not Mongolian at all. Isnt it true that some traditions regard Dorje legpa as and enlightened being, others and a worldly entity? Some Nyingma traditions hold DL to be an enlightened protector, no? I like Dorje Legpa...

Re: Shower of Blessings GY

Just to add, for interest, there is also a Guru Sadhana called 'Shower of Blessings' based around the Seven Line Supplication, which is a treasure of Kangyur Rinpoche, Longchen Yeshe Dorje, which is transmitted by his sons and by Mingyur Rinpoche, who was recognised as Kangyur Rinpoche's Tulku by Di...

Hi, I'm assuming this is the text you're after, Khandro Rinpoche, amongst others, is mentioned by the translator in the foot notes.

Re: Guru Rinpoche As...

What matters is one’s lineage and authority to study. Usually Drolod practitioners that I know approach this with a sense of awe and care. The consensus I’ve heard is Drolod will turn your life upside down. And it’s not for everyone. Folks should be very hesitant to take it on, unless one wants ass...

Apparently Malcolm read books where there’s no tiger. Everyone active I know of gives the tiger seat. There are quite a few Drollo Cycles where there is no tiger. 1 Drolo is always on a Tiger to represent his great wrathfulness. Padma Heruka also sits on a tiger throne. GP is lotus family. 2 it’s the subjugation Bonpos prolly don’t like 3 it’s a Tibetanization of Guru Vajra Krodha Lokattara I'm confused, i just read that not always is on a tiger. I agree tha...
