Re: Chögyam Trungpa
His books have always been the freshest inspiration for me. Cutting Through was my introduction to Tibetan Dharma... it changed my life. I had a dream with him in it a few months ago. I didn’t think much of it until the next evening when a chinese nun invited me to meet her teacher in Nepal, saying...

Re: Hello Everyone, In search of Guru...
Babu, there are so many great Buddhist teachers in Nepal! Chokyi Nyima or Thrangu Rinpoche are very good. There are other well known Lamas there, and also a number of ones that are well known there in Nepal, but not in the Western world because they have not published books, or at least books with ...

Re: Another Topic of molesting female practitioner
I am just wondering how people are shouting here just in one direction. There is no doubt the teacher is highly responsible and as if the incident come true he must face high punishment in all ways. But I don't see only the Lama is responsible for this case while reading the 4 pages complaint that ...

Re: Teacher & Root Guru
I have met countless teachers and Rinpoches. From HH Dalai Lama and HH 17th Karmapa to you name it. But I NEVER experienced what I felt like the time I first met and sat in front of Thrangu Rinpoche (my root guru). Even before either of us said a single word, I knew right then that he would be my r...

Re: Kundalini Yoga and Tummo
Echoing many of the posts in this thread again. The warnings are there for a reason and it's not some elitist 'I'm hot, you're not' thing... Before even attempting to work with Kundalini /thigle & Tummo and some of the techniques required, you really, really need a steady basis in shamatha, hav...

Dear Admin,
I was sending private message to members of this fourm, but the messages are not sent but remained in outbox. While opening the outbox, no option to send the message. Could you please clarify me why this happened? Babu

Taking a page out of Nicholas Weeks' book, I decided to start using my dharma name for something other than just sitting on a piece of paper in the attic :) My previous forum name was duckfiasco. I took refuge in the Kagyu school a few years ago, but the full name "Karma Monlam Tharchin" ...
