Re: commentary of sang gyay say chig tantra?

There is a commentary by Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche on this tantra but I doubt that it's available in print.

Re: Origin of wishes to lineage in Mikyo Dorje sadhana (8 th Karmapa guruyoga)

I heard a recording years ago of a teaching on Thun Zhi Lamai Naljor given by Kalu Rinpoche at Samye Ling in Scotland. He did say that this additional supplication was an addition to Mikyo Dorje's original composition that " someone" had later added. He seemed not to be aware of who added ...

Re: Chöd Inner Refuge

The refuges are the same as in other vajrayana practices. Buddha , Dharma and Sangha as outer refuge, and Three Roots as inner refuge. Machik is seen as inseparable from one's root guru.

Re: Im too slow at Ngongdro, help :(

I would suggest that you read The life of Milarepa . Then instead of spending too much time worrying about the future and overthinking , just start again. If 30 prostrations causes you discomfort then aim to do 40 or 50 every day. Remind yourself of impermanence, constantly. If you do 100 prostratio...

Re: Receiving pointing out without knowing

This reminds me of something a nun friend of mine told me many years ago. She was attending Traleg Rinpoche's teachings in Canberra and spoke to him after one session. She requested that when he next teach he give the pointing out instructions. His reply was that he gave pointing out every time he t...

You might benefit from reading Khenpo Kartar's Mountain Dharma commentary which specifically addresses the various options for different types of practitioners.

Thanks bloke. Is that a view you received from your teacher, or something you read?

I was being lazy and just copied it off the net. It's true what you say , there seems to be many options on this matter.

Re: Dorje Legpa in Kagyu view

Vajrasadhu was the god of gambling and war when he was subdued and samaya-bound by Padmasambhava to be a protector of the teachings. Often referred to as “samaya-bound Vajrasadhu,” he can be depicted in two ways. In the Kagyü tradition, he is black, holding a hammer in his right hand and a bellows i...

Reviving this discussion..... I've had a perusal of the works of Rangjung Dorje here: https://www.translating-karmapas.org/karmapas/rangjung-dorje/ and can't find any reference to tsasun dildrup . I did however find the ninth Karmapa's text on the same site , it being composed on the basis of both t...

Another approach is to place a small vessel of ceramic or glass in it and fill the kapala with rice to hold it in place .

You can always coat the metal kapala with melted wax , as way to avoid contacting the liquid to the metal .

Hi Alex
Does this help ?

It admittedly is only a link to the individual volumes themselves , will take quite a while to trawl through them.

Rangjung Pema Nyingtik ngondro

Hello All I'm wondering if anyone has the commentary to the ngondro for Dilgo Khyentse's Rangjung Pema Nyingtik ngondro. It seems to be out of print for many years , published by Shechen Publications. I tried to get a copy from a bookseller in India years ago , but they took my money but never deliv...
