Just curious as to what songs or mantras everyone here at DW use as part of their daily practice. I tend to use Green Tara quite often.
Anyone else willing to share?

Also, I have downloaded the e-book http://ionbuddhism.org/files/ACGongyo1.pdf but am still unclear exactly how to practice.

Re: Starting from scratch, but slightly overwhelmed :)
Where are you from? There may be someone near you, but if not you may find an independent practice will work for you. We have downloadable Gohonzon and Gongyo books at ionbuddhism.org Mark, Thank you so much for your response! The nearest center is about 90 miles from my home (which doesn't make it...

Starting from scratch, but slightly overwhelmed :)
:namaste: Spend the afternoon on the SGI-USA website and have a deep interest in beginning a Nichirin Practice. Although, I am new to SGI, I have been studying/practicing Buddhism for 8 years. I have no SGI groups near me (that I'm aware of) and am wanting to know from someone that came from similar...

Re: Seeking advice in training for half marathon
In about a month, I am going to begin training for a half marathon. I have yet to run the full distance of a half marathon, but have run 10 miles before. I also run 5ks every other day, but have zero experience with distance running. I've looked for information online, but am seeking someone's pers...

Re: Hotei at your nearest dollar store.
It seemed that he is firmly fixed in the North American mind as THE Buddha. It also seems like he's fixed as the Buddha of Chinese restaurants. This made me laugh! We have a couple of local restaurants here that sell these by the dozens. Hotei always does put a smile on my face; in particul...

Distortion,
Welcome to DW! Looking forward to your posts. And I must say, that I'm truly jealous you have so many opportunities in regards to your choice of Dharma teachings and centers, as I currently live in a fairly rural community.
