It also helps to be able to "clear the mind" ... Memory,Reasoning,Problem-Solving,Making Sense of an Object etc Brain Training stuff like that.

I'll join. I've done the Medicine Buddha recitation though its Tibetan and not Pure Land. Medicine Buddha's dharani & mantra are from the Medicine Buddha sutra, which is technically a Pure Land sutra, even mentions one of his vows being to encourage people to want to be reborn in Amitabha's Pur...
