Re: 信心 and how to develop it
Terry - Why did you remain a Shin Buddhist if you were uneasy? Were you raised in a Shin family or environment? If not, why did you convert? What has changed in the past few years that now inspires your gratitude? Answering these questions might help other Shin or other Pure Land Buddhists.Kirt Ver...

Understand I am asking this question as someone who is neither very grateful nor devout by nature. Umm, not too easy to answer that one. As a Shin Bud...

Re: Divergences from the Jodo Shinshu Teachings
What is wrong with divergence?
One of the many reasons I was
attracted to Buddhism many
decades ago was the lack of
dogma and acceptance of many
divergent views.
I find it very sad that there are
some Shin groups who are
becoming very dogmatic.

Hello From British columbia
Hello everybody from Delta, B.C.
I consider myself a sectless Buddhist,
but have had a lot of involvement
with Shin Buddhism since the mid 50's.
Mainly since I met my future wife at
the Toronto Buddhist Church & later
this year we will celebrate our 50th.
