Re: Was karmamudra part of ganachakra in the ancient India?

I remember ChNNR talking about that we cannot really do the "real" ganachakra in our conditions, which is why we call the tsok "ganapuja" instead. Ganachakra happens in pure lands. But if your mind is a pureland now you can partake in one now provided the other participants have...

Re: Lung vs initiation

What is the difference in effectiveness of a given practice e.g. healing between someone who received lung only and someone who received initiation? With initiation you enter the mandala, a perfect dimension. With lung you bring the dimension to life. Lung is the life of mandala. The lung is the so...

Re: Dzogchen Historiography

Dzogchen is essentially a Tibetan evolution of the completion stage, similar to Gampopa's teachings, but with a mythological origin: The term initially referred to the "highest perfection" of Vajrayana deity yoga. Specifically it refers to the stage after the deity visualisation has been ...

And in the Tsigdon Dzo, he says: "As it does not rely on words, it does not depend on (intellectual wisdoms). As it realizes the nature directly, it does not dwell in the view of mental analysis... But here (the ultimate nature) is perceived as the object of the direct sense through the power ...

Yes.
I think if this is not done within the context of conceptual understanding introduced during oral transmission, this is just a semdzin.

is Ati Guru Yoga and Guru Yoga of the white ah the same practice?
Guru Yoga of the White A is a type of Ati Guru Yoga. It can be very short or more elaborate.
Ati Guru Yoga is an umbrella term signifying the view of Dzogchen as the basis of the practice.

There is also a fairly restricted release of Yongdzin Rinpoche's teachings on Gyalwa Chagtri in between 2005 and 2009, published by Shenten. It was published in 4 booklets covering Ngondro, Ngozhi, Tawa, Gomtri, Chyodtri.

Re: Mahayana teachings from the Dzogchen point of view

I decided to read "The Supreme Source - The Kunjed Gyalpo" by Namkhai Norbu. Maybe I chose the wrong book but now I have some questions. Even if I understand what the text is pointing out to, I found that the literary choice of making the nature of mind speak from a first-person point of ...

Re: What role do ritual implements play in Dzogchen?

Dzogchen is Tantra, it has empowerments, samayas and its main texts are called Tantras. This cherry picking folly that this is Tantra and that is Dzogchen is obviously invented on the internet and have no real basis in the actual Tantras or in Longchenpas texts. Are you sure about that Magnus ? :ju...

Are you saying that “what is vital is recognition of…” (the fact that) Object of awareness arises in the same continuum? I’m just trying to be clear what the term “this reality” refers to. Nobody is disputing that awareness and object arise together to form consciousness. But that doesn’t mean they...

Re: Is the nature of the mind cognizant of itself?

Well that is a well known concept. That experience is still an object of awareness (mind) and not the awareness (mind) itself. As long as you can identify it, refer to it as an experience or as this or that, then it’s an object of awareness. Object of awareness arises in the same continuum. It is n...

I still don’t understand.
