Prayers for Vajra Sister with Stage 4 melanoma
Please offer prayers for Shelley Sims, who has been a Vajrayana practitioner for nearly 30 years, and who just found out that a lesion on her toe is Stage 4 melanoma. She will be having tests to see if it has spread, and we are offering prayers for a positive outcome. Shelley is a Sangha member at K...

Re: Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo Teaching at Palyul Retreat
Andrew, thanks for sharing the commitment to active compassion of your aunt. It speaks to me of the common foundation of compassion and loving kindness that supports different faiths. I was raised a christian (Church of England aka episcopal) and have never lost my respect of or love for Christ's li...

Re: Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo Teaching at Palyul Retreat
Thank you both. I just re-watched the teaching. It is so good to be reminded that kindness and love are the foundation of the Dharma, and we can offer that to others every day.

Re: My Open Message to Gyatrul Rinpoche
claims which, if verified, would lead any serious Vajrayana practitioner to question Jetsunma/Catherine/Alyce's "qualities," not to mention her "qualifications." I know I keep reiterating what HH Penor Rinpoche said from his Throne at Palyul Retreat, not once but during two diff...

Re: My Open Message to Gyatrul Rinpoche
So what are you saying? Only you see through pure compassionate wisdom? Only you can define the enlightened mind? I did not intend my post to suggest that I am any different than any other ordinary being. I certainly am not and never claim to be. I live in and perpetuate my own delusion every day. ...

Re: My Open Message to Gyatrul Rinpoche
I never doubted she was a Tulku. A minor Tulku though, not Mandarava. HH Penor Rinpoche never said that. Penor Rinpoche did go on to recognize more Tulkus quietly. They of course did not bother to publicize this fact. Not needing fame or a title they simply wanted to practice and go into retreat. N...

Re: My Open Message to Gyatrul Rinpoche
I am horrified, amused and amazed on reading this thread. Yes, I am a student of Jetsunma's. Yes, I had the privilege to be ordained by HH Penor Rinpoche. I was also blessed to attend Palyul Summer Retreat for six years and with my own ears hear HH Penor Rinpoche defend Jetsunma as a pure Tulku. And...

Re: Mipham's Shower of Blessings
Shower of Blessings is a beautiful practice. It is a main practice at my Temple, KPC in MD. We have Tsoks there every Sunday, and everyone is welcome to join in. The only part of the practice that is restricted is when we insert the Dharmapala or protector prayers. Otherwise everyone who wishes to i...
